Role Overview:

Our client is a popular Hotel situated ideally in the New Forest area near Lyndhurst. This Hotel serves modern contemporary cuisine and can get very busy during peak months. All dishes served use only the best locally sourced fresh produce.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef with ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. A new project onsite will give challenge to the role.

As a Head Chef you will work 5 out of 7 days per week on various shift patterns.

Hotel experience using fresh produce at Sous or Head Chef level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Head Chef (Brockenhurst) will Include:

  • To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards

  • To support manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget

  • To be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge

  • To maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control

  • To comply with hotel's health and safety and food safety legislations

What You Need To Be a Successful Head Chef (Brockenhurst):

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

The Reward/Benefits - Head Chef (Brockenhurst):

  • Salary of £40,000-£45,000 per annum + Bonus
