** Overtime

All hours worked over 35 are classed at overtime and paid at either time & half or double time.
  1. Time and a Half: The default overtime rate is 150% of basic rate, paid for all time over 35 hours in the working week.


  2. Double Time: In periods of high resource demand, managers have the option to offer a 200% rate.


Unsociable Hours Payments (USH)

FEs receive supplementary pay for working between 8pm to 8am Mon-Sat and all day Sunday and this applies from day one. This supplementary payment ranges from 10% to 50% of the FE's hourly rate per unsociable hour worked.

Flex Cash payments

Flex Cash payments are made to evryone who works over 12 weeks.

For example on £8.50 works 35 hours per week for a four week period would earn £0.36p per hour. That is 140 hours x £0.36 = £50.40 flex payment.


Pay Progression (PP)

Pay Progression is a performance related pay rise. This is a pay uplift on the hourly pay that may be applicable after 24 weeks worked where you are considered to be performing well.
