Monday-Friday | 07:00-15:30

Job Introduction

Are you a passionate and experienced chef ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our team at a vibrant corporate site in Berkshire . You'll support the Head Chef in leading a dynamic kitchen operation, delivering fresh, high‑quality food while inspiring the team and maintaining excellent standards.

What you'll do

  • Support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting high‑quality food that meets client expectations.
  • Lead and support the kitchen team across all service areas, including retail, deli, café, hospitality, vending, and the main kitchen.
  • Contribute to menu planning and innovation, creating seasonal and themed offers that meet site requirements and budget targets.
  • Maintain exemplary food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, ensuring compliance and supporting the site's 5* EHO rating.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, food rotation, and weekly stock checks-ensuring accurate records, minimal waste, and strong cost controls.
  • Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, overseeing operations and supporting front-of-house to ensure an excellent customer experience.

What you bring

  • A passionate, creative approach to cooking with strong knowledge of current food trends.
  • Professional culinary qualification (NVQ Level 3, Diploma, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in corporate, contract catering, or high‑volume kitchens.
  • Excellent culinary skills with consistency in quality, presentation, and service.
  • Strong financial awareness, including food cost management and GP/budget controls.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certification and good IT skills.
