HGV Class 1 Driver - Hiab

Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of our client in St Ives for experienced and reliable Class 1 Day Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking consistent daytime work with the potential for long‑term progression.

About the Role

• Monday to Friday - Days Only
• No weekends, no bank holidays, no planned nights out
• Start times typically between 6:00-8:00 AM
• Average shift length 10-12 hours
• Modern fleet: DAF & Scania articulated or drawbar vehicles
• Delivering concrete building products to:
  • Builders Merchants
  • Large construction sites
  • Residential properties (drawbar crane deliveries)

Qualifications & Experience

• Class 1 licence required
• ALLMI Brick & Block qualification preferred
  • Not essential - we can accept a limited number of standard Class 1 drivers
  • Upskilling available at our cost for committed drivers looking for long‑term work

Pay & Benefits

• £18.18 per hour for the first 48 hours
• Overtime paid at x1.3
• Temporary positions initially, with the possibility of progressing into permanent employment for the right candidate
  • While we cannot guarantee a permanent role or timeframe, many of our full‑time drivers originally joined via agency supply
