This is an excellent opportunity for skilled chefs who are passionate about producing healthy, nutritious meals for children in a welcoming school environment.As a School Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the smooth running of daily service. Key Responsibilities Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staffPlanning daily menus in line with school guidelines and dietary needsManaging food preparation, portion control and presentationEnsuring all food safety and hygiene standards (including allergens) are metMaintaining a clean and well‑organised kitchenMonitoring stock levels, ordering ingredients and managing food wasteLeading and supporting the catering team during serviceUpholding safeguarding standards as part of a school setting Requirements Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Previous experience as a Chef, Cook or similar catering roleStrong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safety regulationsAbility to lead and motivate a small teamGood organisational and communication skillsReliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children's wellbeingMust be available Monday to Friday during school hours What We Offer £15.00 to £18.00 per hourDaytime, term‑time hours - ideal for work‑life balanceSupportive school environmentsOngoing placements and regular hoursOpportunities to progress within school catering LocationsWe are recruiting Chefs across:Blackpool, Bispham, Poulton‑le‑Fylde, Fleetwood, Lytham St Annes, Thornton‑Cleveleys, and surrounding areas.
