Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor for my client based in Darlington

This role will suit a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and experience managing teams in an operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring standards are consistently met while maintaining a safe and well‑organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate night‑time operational staff to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed efficiently
• Monitor work activity across the site, carrying out spot checks to maintain agreed service standards
• Support, coach, and guide team members to ensure best practices are followed
• Organise staffing levels, workloads, and use of equipment throughout the shift
• Escalate any incidents, defects, or operational concerns through the appropriate channels
• Complete basic administrative duties, including attendance tracking and shift reporting

Person Specification:

• Previous experience supervising teams in an operational, facilities, or service‑based environment
• Confident leader with the ability to manage people and resolve issues effectively
• Able to work independently and make informed decisions during night hours

Rate:

• £13.96ph

Shifts:

• 7pm-7am
• Continental shift pattern consisting of 4 on / 4 off
• The shift pattern will include regular weekend
• Full time only
