Lead the work planning team, including mentoring and guiding work planners and administrative staff to achieve high standards of service delivery. 2. Lead initiatives to improve work planning processes to enhance operational efficiency, and elevate customer satisfaction, staying updated on industry best practice and regulatory requirements. 3. Deputise for the Service Improvement Manager, including working together to ensure effective use of resources across the team to achieve high standards of service delivery. 4. Provide oversight of work allocation, ensuring the most efficient use of resources within the team and subcontractors / suppliers, making informed decisions to manage workload distribution, especially during emergencies or high-demand periods. 5. Develop and implement robust plans and processes for effective work allocation, taking into account resource availability, priority levels, and customer demands. 6. Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and ensure service delivery aligns with organisational goals. 7. Regularly analyse performance data, customer feedback, and job completion metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements. 8. Act as the senior point of contact for escalated customer complaints and queries, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions. 9. Work collaboratively with internal teams, including repairs and maintenance, housing management and customer services, to resolve complex inquiries. 10. Ensure all works, including subcontractor jobs, are accurately recorded, monitored, and completed within agreed timeframes and budgets. 11. Oversee the preparation of detailed statistical and performance reports, providing insights and recommendations for service improvement to senior management. 12. Manage sensitive and confidential information, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making processes. 13. Lead Works Planner

We are seeking an experience Housing Officer to join our team based in Cambridge. Housing OfficerCambridge, CB4£20.98 per hour (PAYE)Temporary: ASAP start until 31st March 2026 (possible extensions)Possibility for Hybrid with 1 day at home and the rest in the office Please note: This is not a remote role. It can be hybrid but depends on service need, role is mainly out on site and current Housing Officers tend to be in the city at least 3-4 days a week and live close enough to be able to drive into the City if there is an emergency. Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>Deliver comprehensive tenancy services across a defined neighbourhood in line with legal and policy requirements.</li><li>Manage complex housing issues, customer complaints, and tenancy disputes through collaborative working with internal teams and external agencies.</li><li>Enforce tenancy conditions, particularly around antisocial behaviour, and initiate legal action when required.</li><li>Respond to emergencies, assist with void management, and provide cover across housing services as needed.</li><li>Promote access to welfare benefits, report suspected fraud, and manage service capacity, anticipating external impacts on housing provision.</li><li>Ensure service delivery meets organisational standards by monitoring performance date, managing budgets, complying with governance and safeguarding policies, and contributing to climate goals, emergency planning, and wider corporate initiatives.</li></ul> Experience Required:<ul><li>We require an experienced Housing Officer who will require minimal training. </li><li>We would prefer experience of using Orchard (MRI Enterprise). </li><li>This role will not have line management responsibilities but experience in leading a team will be beneficial support/offer advice and guidance to Assistant Housing Officers.</li><li>Experience of working in Tenancy Management or in a similar enforcement or community development role.</li></ul> If you meet the above criteria, then we would love to hear from you.
