HGV Refuse Collections Driver

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Refuse Driver to support our client in the Richmond area. Our client offers pre-planned routes and set start and finish times, there are no nasty surprises or late finishes, leaving you with a great work-life balance!

HGV Refuse Collection Driver

£17.82 per hour

Temporary on-going role, with immediate start

Role Responsibilities:

- Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.

- Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.

- Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.

- Complete relevant paperwork in real time.

- Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.

- Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.

- Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users.

Working Hours:

6.00am to 2.30pm, Monday - Friday

What you'll need to succeed:

- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)

- Driver CPC

- Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Self-motivated

- Willingness to undertake tasks

- Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
