About the roleWe are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our busy distribution team at a well-established logistics site in the Thames Valley region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and proven experience operating Counterbalance or Pivot Steer (Bendi/Flexi) forklifts. The individual will need the ability to move around with ease, while at times lifting and carrying items potentially weighing up to 30kg</li><li>Practical and organised with a methodical approach to work</li><li>Awareness and ability to follow safety instructions and procedures</li><li>Good literacy and numeracy skills</li></ul> Main Duties/Responsibilities In this role you will:<ul><li>Safely operate forklift trucks (CB or Pivot Steer) to move goods within the warehouse.</li><li>Load and unload vehicles efficiently and accurately.</li><li>Support general warehouse duties including picking, packing, and stock control</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Follow all health and safety procedures and site protocols</li></ul> Qualifications/Licences/Certifications/Experience<ul><li>High/secondary school GCSE's or equivalent</li><li>Generally there are no set entry requirements for this role</li><li>More practical skills or experience instead of an actual accredited qualification; such as being physically able for the sometimes-strenuous work, being methodical, being able to follow instructions closely, and working well on teams</li><li>Valid Counterbalance or Pivot Steer forklift licence</li><li>Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment</li><li>Good attention to detail and ability to work independently</li><li>Flexibility to work late shifts and occasional overtime</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>GCSE A* to C or 4 to 9 in English, Maths and IT (particularly useful if you need to enter data and maintain inventories)</li></ul>Skills focus So if you have the skills to make you a great fit for the role of Warehouse Operative, then apply with us today.
