Permanent vacancy - Contracts Manager (Civils/Road/Grounds work) Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00 Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE Location - Kirkintilloch Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Contracts Manager with a Civils or road/Grounds work background to join their busy team. Key Responsibilities: * Managing, motivating and communicating to site teams on multiple projects * Cost control of projects, minimising costs and maximising production * Liaising with Estimating and Surveying Departments to ensure commercial viability of projects * Taking an active role in Chain Management Initiative to ensure relationships are developed with subcontractors * Ensuring compliance with health &amp; safety requirements * You will be able to combine strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience delivering large projects/programmes of work * The Contract Manager will support the Project Manager and Procurement &amp; Commercial Manager to deliver strategies and contracts, providing robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives * The Contract Manager will also support the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance * You will have primary responsibility for all delivery aspects of the project, ensuring a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time and in a safe and compliant manner. Ensure that delivery program and resources are in place and are delivering as per contract * Take a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the program for all works to the customer expectation * Manage and assist in the selection of staff and subcontractors * Work with Project Managers and site managers to ensure project milestones are met across all work areas * Manage the relationships between internal personnel, the project teams and the customer to ensure that the customer's requirements are fully achieved * Manage daily operations and production planning * Overall accountability for all aspects of engagement with client delivery management teams * Develop successful and sustainable long term business relationships with the client * Accountable for defining and executing company strategy in respect to customers * To actively manage all client IT interfaces to help deliver our P/L and ensure our compliance with their requirements Requirements Background in Road/Ground working and or Civils Benefits: * 20 days annual leave plus public holidays * Company car or car allowance * Bonus * Excellent career prospects * Working for a very successful business that is going from strength to strength * On-site parking * Excellent company pension If you have the skills and experience required for this position please submit your CV or call Louise on 0141 221 0007Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
