Diesel Generator Engineer Swadlincote £17.45 per hour We are seeking to hire a skilled generator engineer for a reputable client located in the village of Measham, just outside Swadlincote. Our client is a prominent provider of temporary building rentals across multiple sectors, including construction, healthcare, and commercial industries. Each unit is tailored to meet specific needs and undergoes comprehensive servicing to ensure the highest standards of quality before being delivered to clients. The working hours for this position are from 07:00 to 16:30, amounting to 45 hours per week. Overtime opportunities may arise during peak periods, compensated at a rate of 1.5 times the standard hourly wage. This role is primarily on-site, with occasional travel to client locations for emergency situations, requiring close collaboration with the operations team. Your daily tasks will include: * Conducting routine maintenance on generators * Executing necessary repairs and proactively inspecting for potential hazards or damages * Traveling to client sites for urgent repair requirements * Coordinating with the operations team to procure parts and equipment * Performing final safety inspections of generators prior to delivery * Assisting the operations team with additional repair, maintenance, and cleaning duties to ensure timely delivery schedules are adhered to.
