<p></p><div><h2>Job Opportunity: Support Accountant</h2><p>We are recruiting for a Support Accountant to join our client in Ballymena, working 37.5 hours per week.<br />Rate of pay £24.45 per hour.<br />Immediate start<br />8 months initially.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Support Accountant</strong> to work closely with the Head Accountant in supporting financial planning, performance, and sustainability across the organisation. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, supporting service development, and providing expert financial advice to senior colleagues.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities (Summary)</strong></h3><ul><li>Support the Head Accountant with financial planning, performance monitoring, and reporting</li><li>Produce and analyse the financial aspects of business cases and capital projects</li><li>Provide specialist financial advice to senior managers, clinicians, and directorates</li><li>Support efficiency, contingency, recovery, and modernisation plans</li><li>Assist with financial analysis for regional and local projects and commissioning requirements</li><li>Contribute to benchmarking, productivity, and value‑for‑money exercises</li><li>Represent Finance in service and budget agreement discussions and reviews</li><li>Provide training and high‑quality financial guidance to managers</li><li>Deputise for the Head Accountant when required</li></ul><h3><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></h3><p><strong>Qualifications / Registration</strong></p><ul><li>Full membership of a CCAB‑recognised professional accounting body or CIMA</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>2 years' relevant finance experience at supervisory level</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Full UK driving licence and access to a car<br /> <em>(This requirement will be waived where a disability prevents driving and suitable alternative transport is available.)</em></li></ul><p><em>RecCoLisburn</em></p></div><p> </p>
