JOB SUMMARY:
The post-holder will assist over a full range of Financial Management duties, including the development of systems and controls for the effective financial management of the Trust.
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the establishment, development and maintenance of an efficient and effective system of budgetary control.
- Responsible for the preparation and input of approved changes to the Trust Budgetary System.
- Assists with the preparation of Financial Management reports by Directorate on the Trust Financial position, including investigating variances.
- Creation and maintenance of budget reports and structures for managers.
- Provision of management information advice and training to budget managers. Liaison in the form of planned meetings for financial review, feedback and development.
Carry out variance analysis and ad hoc investigations of budget/expenditure as requested by budget managers
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Demonstrate 3 years relevant* finance experience.
OR
Certificate for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent (QCF Level 4) with 2 years relevant* finance experience.
Other
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
