Blue Arrow are urgently recruiting for an Electrical Biased Maintenance Technician to join our clients state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Llantrisant. Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Hours: 4 on 4 off, DAY shift Summary: Working within a state of the art Manufacturing Facility, ensuring all mechanical &amp; electrical equipment is safe, functional, and fully maintained to the highest standards. Carry out troubleshooting as a key part of the engineering team to support production and continued safe operation to deliver manufacturing output targets. This role is suitable for both mechanical and electrical bias candidates. What you'll do:<ul><li>Ensure the continued running of the Agarose Manufacturing Facility for all process mechanical &amp; electrical equipment through a hands-on approach.</li><li>Work with Plant Engineering team, and proactively carry out preventative maintenance, support service visits, calibration, reactive maintenance, inspections and other measures to ensure continued production with respect to mechanical &amp; electrical equipment.</li><li>Develop maintenance procedures and other Quality, Health &amp; Safety and Environmental documentation as necessary.</li><li>Working safely on site and adhering to health and safety procedures for maintenance work.</li><li>Work with Process Engineer, Plant Electrical Engineer &amp; other production/R&amp;D staff on troubleshooting and improvement projects.</li><li>Ensure all maintenance (internal &amp; contractors) work is carried out correctly, safely and recorded as per the procedures.</li><li>Act as a key stakeholder in the facility and be available for remote support and call out - process to be defined.</li><li>Any other reasonable duties as required by management of the company.</li></ul> What you'll need:<ul><li>Experience of fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical control/automation systems.</li><li>Experience with three phase, motors, drives and instrumentation involving flow, pressure, temperature, and level measurement.</li><li>Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings</li><li>Ability to write clear effective reports and procedures</li><li>Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately</li><li>Ability to work at heights, handle and work with heavy equipment</li><li>Basic workshop skills</li><li>HNC qualified in an engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship with experience.</li></ul> Desirable but not essential:<ul><li>Experience of Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance in hazardous areas</li><li>18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable</li><li>Familiar with DSEAR and ATEX zones</li><li>Experience of PLC systems, Control Panels, HMi's &amp; SCADA Systems (preferably Siemens S7-1500)</li></ul> If you have the required skills and experience required for this role then please submit your CV for immediate response.
