Job Title: SMT Operator (Electrical Assembler) Location: Tredegar Salary: £12.11 per hour Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, We are looking for an experienced SMT Operator to join our client in Tredegar The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining SMT equipment, ensuring the efficient production of electronic assemblies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Main job roles<ul><li>Efficiently set up and run SMT machines, including automatic screen printers and in-line equipment, to meet targets.</li><li>Change components during the production cycle using appropriate tools</li><li>Perform accurate and efficient offline setups.</li><li>Read and follow manufacturing documentation.</li><li>Conduct quality checks in accordance with SMT assembly standards, preferably with IPC knowledge.</li><li>Identify discrepancies, rectify within the scope of the role, and report to the SMT team leader.</li><li>Complete production build documentation in line with ISO9001 quality procedures.</li><li>Component value and recognition</li><li>Perform basic weekly machine maintenance (desirable).</li><li>Undertake other tasks as assigned, in line with company requirements.</li><li>Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Use initiative in various tasks.</li></ul>Required experience<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience as an SMT Operator or similar role</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li><li>Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.</li><li>Basic computer skills to handle machine interfaces and documentation.</li><li>Flexibility to work different shifts if required</li></ul>If you are interested in this role please apply now!
