Media Sales Executive

An opportunity has arisen for a talented sales person to join this modern and dynamic media company based in Maidstone working on their reputable publication. Reporting to the Publication Manager you will be working to build and maintain relationships on a market leading publication. The role could also see you developing sales on a second title.

Working in a small team within a large company you will be required to take ownership of your section and maximise revenue from your client base of existing and new customers. This role would suit someone looking for their next step in media sales, providing great opportunities to learn about the industry and progress your career within the company.

  • Identifying new business opportunities from existing and new accounts through accurate planning.
  • Selling across all of the magazines revenue streams, you should be able to deliver a strong client service from pitching to closing.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing client base through regular client contact and being creative to further develop these accounts.
  • Bring new ideas and initiatives.
  • Develop a strong understanding and awareness of the industry and anticipate and respond to potential opportunities within the marketplaces.
  • Selling to a host of widely known brands requires impeccable communication, relationship building and influencing skills at all levels, including to key decision makers.
  • Attending industry awards and exhibitions.

Having strong interpersonal and organisational skills is key to this role. As is:
  • Experience in a media sales environment.
  • The ability to plan for and work towards deadlines.
  • The capability to listen to, understand and respond to our customer's expectations and requirements whilst building relationships.
  • Be computer proficient with experience in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


This position offers a competitive basic salary of up to £22,000 and a generous commission package of approx £5,000 per annum, company pension scheme, great working conditions and excellent prospects for career development.

Working hours are 9 - 5 Monday to Friday, based in Maidstone including Parking.
