Job Summary

To establish contact with potential and existing customers to ascertain interest in products and services, generating pre-qualified sales leads and information. Accurately recording call outcomes and pass created opportunities and tasks on to the correct sales team member for action.

  • To contact prospective customers via telephone and market products and services.
  • To carry out market research / gather information as requested by the Team Leader.
  • To handle inbound calls, dealing with enquiries and if required directing the enquiry to the correct person or department within the business, including complaint handling.To accurately record all call outcomes using the Caterlyst sales pipeline management system.
  • To pass all tasks and opportunities on to the correct sales team member in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that any requested literature or items are posted in a timely manner.
  • To assist when required with departmental administration tasks, and keep up to date with any new processes.
  • To complete all departmental and company training as required, and be responsible for keeping up to date with any new product launches, product improvements.
  • To achieve and exceed where possible departmental KPI's

Key Skills and Attributes
  • 4 GCSE Passes or equivalent essential, further higher education is desirable
  • Experience within a similar role, where you are dealing with customers
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite essential, experience using databases would be advantageous
  • Ability to priorities work and multi task
  • Strong attention to detail and can demonstrate to accurate record keeping
  • Excellent telephone manner, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • A strong team player, who is result driven.
  • Previous knowledge of the food equipment market desirable.
