A hard working and ambitious head chef is sought by an award winning golf course in Romford to lead their brigade. Paying up to 23k for the right candidate, you would be working a 5 day out of 7 shift pattern and responsible for implementing different menus for the various functions, weddings and events that take place at the site.


Key Duties:
  • To control and monitor wastage of stock, conducting regular stock checks and keeping Management informed of any action plans you are implementing
  • Recruit, train, coach and mentor members of the kitchen team
  • Ensure appropriate and timely ordering of products in accordance with the level of trade forecast through suppliers nominated by the company or those authorised by management
  • Ensure risk, COSHH and HACCAP assessments are in place and frequently reviewed to ensure compliance with legislation and company policy
  • Manage individuals performance dealing with under performance where necessary

Essential Experience:
  • Have previous experience of leading a kitchen team and shifts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of being able to support other team members and help where needed
  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • The ability to coach others with tact and patience
