Electrical Distribution Sales Manager

The role is to develop a sales pipeline of new business coming into the company. The right candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the market and economic conditions, the solutions/services the company can provide and develop the company's competitors.

Main duties

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential clients, customers and develop industry network.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Work with internal sales teams to share opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key service partners.

  • Responsible for own lead generation generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target.

  • Take a "hands on" account management approach; creating quotations for works; advising customers on the suitability and capability of plant and trucks; dealing with overdue accounts whilst analysing existing sales practices to deliver further growth.

  • Monitoring progress on jobs in progress to ensure the efficiency and profitability

  • Experience required

  • Proven record of sales achievement within the revent sector.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of electrical distribution.

  • Excellent networking and negotiating skills.

  • Demonstrable ability to identify existing and emerging business trends in the sector.

  • Account Management skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal.
