Communications Assistant, City Centre based role.
Based in the Newcastle office and reporting to the communications leader.
The communications assistant would equally be responsible for assisting in the delivery of external communications and marketing bids - positively impacting on the coverage and consistency of our industry positioning.
Supporting with maintenance of website including uploading awards, projects, blogs and news, diversion of traffic through digital media and search engine optimisation.
Assisting in collection, management, updating and formatting of documents.
Ensure library of resources is maintained for use in bid submissions.
Assist with tenders and capability statements.
Liaise with each of the offices to identify, create and maintain project descriptions and curriculum vitaes.
Ensure the upkeep of company policies and certificates and complete renewal applications for memberships.
Support with the upkeep of company brochures including staff handbook.
Database management including collation of contacts, re formatting fields and ensuring information is current.
Assisting with market research and analysis to assist business development strategy including information gathering on forthcoming awards, submission deadlines and competitor analysis.
Provide logistical assistance for events including meetings, seminars, exhibitions and trade shows.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of ongoing digital marketing activities.
Able to meet multiple project deadlines, prioritise work and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Skilled in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Experience of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign would be advantageous.
Flexible in task management and planning skills.
Web maintenance experience, with a good working knowledge of social media marketing tools, Google rankings and search engine optimization is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to demonstrate knowledge of marketing principles.
Team player, extremely well organised with an ability to work at operational levels both individually and as part of a team.
