Role Overview:

Our Client a luxury 5* Hotel in Horsham, is recruiting for 2 Sous Chefs, one for its 2AA Restaurant and the other position to join the banqueting team. This Hotel is a part of a small group of privately owned Hotels across the South of the UK all of which are renowned for their luxurious settings and service.

You will have a passion in sourcing and using local produce and will be responsible for the day to day running, preparation and service of the food within the Kitchen. You will work very closely with the Head Chef ensuring the highest of standards of maintained at all times as well as this that your teams are managed and motivated.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To produce and present the dishes to meet the required standard
  • Support the Head Chef with the day to day catering
  • To assist with managing and maintaining the stock and storage
  • To help with training and developing the team
  • To adhere to all health and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements:
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous experience at a similar level
  • Similar background to their rosette standard/5* establishment
  • Experience cooking with fresh produce and to a high standard
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and training skills
