Our client is a luxury hotel in Horsham, recruiting a Chef de Rang to lead the waiting services in their award winning restaurant. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in an extremely prestigious environment. You must be passionate about food and have knowledge of wines.

The place itself is a 5* hotel with 84 rooms, as well as conference rooms, a golf course, spas, fishing and shooting venues, and a 2AA rosette/ Michelin star awarded restaurant.

The Responsibilities of the Chef de Rang

  • Supervising junior team members

  • Support the Supervisor in the smooth running of the section

  • Delivering excellent standards of service in a friendly and professional manner to our guests

  • Proactively welcoming and greeting all guests and visitors to the Restaurant and the Hotel

  • To assist in the set up if the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready

  • To seat guests offering them menus, drinks and providing explanations of the menu when required

  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant menus to be able to offer guidance and make recommendations

    What you need to get the job of a Chef de Rang

  • Experience as a Chef de Rang in a similar 4*/5* restaurant or Hotel environment

  • Immaculate presentation at all times

  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage

  • Ability to supervisor more junior team members

  • A professional and proactive approach to guest service

  • The ability to work under pressure and to multi task

  • Have a creative mind with a passion and respect for the provenance of food

    The Reward:
