Our People

We pride ourselves on our focus on employee engagement, and alongside a regular position on the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For list we are extremely proud to also be awarded Investors In People’s new, highest Platinum status, held by only 8 employers from over 14,000 accredited organisations across the globe.

The Employee Council is an integral part of Blue Arrow's approach to employee engagement. The council consists of representatives who volunteer from across the organisation. Members attend regular meetings in which job titles are left at the meeting room door so that all attendees feel comfortable to voice their knowledge and personal experiences to help drive continuous improvements to our work environment and work practises. Members also frequently charged with going out to their areas of the business for feedback on a wide range of topics which explore feelings on company culture.

Reward and Development

From having birthday's off as an additional paid leave and a day's full paid leave for charity work of your choice, our wide range of flexible benefits is much more than the standard holiday entitlement, pension package and bonus schemes; all of which are fantastic but we like to go much further to say thank you to our people.

We celebrate loyalty by recognising the work anniversary of every single member of staff with a personal card from our Managing Director to say thank you. Long service is also recognised at 5-yearly intervals up to 30 years' service. Long service staff can expect to receive a range of luxury gifts reflective in value to the length of service being celebrated. We even organise extra special celebration events for members of our 20 years-plus club.
A Super Star Awards is also held quarterly to recognise exceptional personal performance which has been nominated by colleagues throughout the business. Award winners get to go on a fully paid-for, 2-day trips to a luxury hotel and spa, where they'll be fine-dined and have the opportunity to take part with other award winners, in a range of on-site recreational activities including quad-biking, clay pigeon shooting and even 4x4 driving experiences.
Our annual Gold Winners’ Trip takes all Gold winners from throughout the year away for an extra special celebration of their outstanding performance. Gold winners enjoy a long weekend away, typically abroad to a 5* hotel where as a large group of award winners they'll enjoy a range of activities from relaxing in the sun, playing golf, enjoying water sports to being a VIP on catamaran excursion.
