Trucking Events in 2020

The best trucking events lined up for 2020 include entertainment events, heritage enthusiast showcases, race days, career open events and industry seminars. Attending industry events whether it is for fun or for learning is extremely important. Being surrounded by like-minded people helps you to expand your network and your social circle. The bigger your network and social circle the better the chances of opportunities finding their way to you.

Life is not always about the career opportunities that could arise, sometimes it is just about enjoying the company of people who enjoy the same things that you do, let’s face it, trucking can at times be a solitary endeavour. HGV Career Open Day

1st February, Hampshire.

Trailer Training UK Ltd will be opening the doors of its Hampshire training centre to anyone considering a career in haulage. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in the HGV industry or looking to progress their current career with a Class 1 or HIAB licence.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live

31st Jan to 2nd Feb Birmingham | 7th to 9th Feb Glasgow.

An epic event for the adrenaline junkie truck lover as Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live comes to Birmingham and Glasgow this year as part of its 2020 European tour.

First dreamed up by an unlikely trio consisting of an innovator, rocket scientist and a car designer, Hot Wheels Diecast Cars went on to become a global franchise with a dedicated following of enthusiasts and fans. The live event brings the original 1.64 scale toys to life as full size monster trucks that entertain the crowds with their iconic, jumps, stunts, crashes and smashes.

British Truck Racing Championship

4th & 5th Apr Brand Hatch & other UK areas throughout the year.

The British Truck Racing Championship runs throughout the year, kicking off with the first race day on the Brand Hatch, Indy circuit. This popular family trucking event showcases the what these big time five tonne trucks can really do as they powerslide, wheel spin and careen around the circuit in multiple races throughout the weekend.

There is lots to see and do so you can be sure that the whole family will be entertained no matter what they are in to. Explore the trade stands, marvel at the show trucks, watch the truck parade, try your hand at go karting, let the teenagers get behind the wheel with the young drive experience and the little ones blow off steam at the fairground. Truckfest

7th to 10th May – Peterborough.

By far the favourite trucking event amongst truckers and truck enthusiasts is Truckfest. It has been the largest trucking festival since 1982. With over 2,500 trucks on display, monster truck rides, family friendly games and attractions as well as hundreds of trade stands in the retail village, there really is something for everyone. Classic and Vintage Commercial Show

13th & 14th June British Motor Museum, Warwick.

Visit the British Motor Museum in June to see over 400 commercial vehicles on show, explore the autojumble for spares, photo’s brochures and models. This is a great event for commercial vehicle enthusiasts.

Convoy in the Park

22nd & 23rd August Donnington.

The ultimate celebration of trucks and drivers with trucks, thrills and entertainment to suit the whole family. Convoy in the Park blends the best elements of European style truck shows and the excitement of truck racing in to one major event that has a real festival feel. Last year there were races, awards, drive-in movies, trade stands, show trucks, comedy acts, circus events, music performances and live action shows to enjoy and 2020 is set to be just as great.

Retro Truck Show

12th & 13th Sept, British Motor Museum, Warwick.

This year the Retro Truck Show celebrates its 10th anniversary. Showcasing modern classic trucks produced from 1970 to 2000 this is a great day out for anyone with a passion for trucks that are new and not so new.  

IAA Commercial Vehicles Conference

24th to 30th September, Hannover, Germany.

A little further afield but if you are interested in what the future has in store for commercial vehicles then this event is the place to be. Experience the latest in technology, digital solutions and the next generation of trucks, buses, bodies and trailers.

On-site electric charging, VR experiences, interactive exhibits, test routes, careers and special events, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the future of transport in a new, dynamic dimension.
